Whew, that’s a lot of exclamation. But I really, really loved this outfit that I paired up for a night of sushi (nom!) with a friend.
I was given these pants from my little sister recently — that’s weird, right? Yes, I’m 34-years-old and get bags of clothes from my younger sibling. It works both ways however, and a few times I find an old item of mine in her closet and ask for the item back. True story. We have this “endless borrowing” system that works well between us. It’s like a “hanging place” for the stuff that I don’t currently wear (that she might), which I don’t lose forever to donation bins. Save THOSE places for things like… flatforms. *shudder*
Regardless, I absolutely love having them after admiring them on her for so long. I have a few Gap trousers that are staples in my closet (and I’ve had for years); I love how their clothes hold up. Also, the short length is perfect for casual. Naturally, I always paired them simply with a t-shirt. But surprisingly the army-like green and bright pink combo worked really well together. And I have Alyson from The Average Girl’s Guide to thank for the style inspiration from this recent outfit post.
